- ASI's Web-based software patch repository provides DOD users with exclusive and immediate access to the most current vendor-released patches and alerts—without having to compete with the entire Internet community. Overall response time to security vulnerabilities is significantly faster than before. System administrators and other DOD users' ability to keep their systems and programs secure with the latest patches and alerts has been greatly improved.
- ASI's LEAN initiatives have helped senior Army staff, program offices and organizations improve business processes. Using benchmarking and value stream analysis, the Apache program office was able to save an estimated 3,400 man-hours. Using Lean Value Stream Mapping, ASI helped the Air Worthiness Engineering Directorate at Redstone Arsenal reduce the amount of time to produce a critical safety item by 60 days, with a 90 percent improvement in process efficiency.
- Combining engineering, technology and acquisition expertise within the Defense Travel System Program Management Office, ASI helped the DTS become the largest IT business system within the Department of Defense. Deployed at over 9,000 sites worldwide, DTS is a 24/7/365 system that has processed over 30 million travel documents. The system handles over 700,000 travel documents per month and provides reimbursement within one week or less for DOD's 2.9 million travelers.
