CFD Analysis Case Study
Task Description
  • Perform CFD Analysis of the AIT Jet interaction test motor to predict motor performance
Purpose
  • The CFD Analysis was used to optimally locate a diffuser plate in the motors secondary chamber to minimize stagnation pressure losses in the flow from the primary combustion chamber
Product
  • The project office was provided with a plate design which minimized the flow losses and would allow for the desired nozzle exit pressure for the JI test
