Organization Recognizes Top Information Technology Leadership

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – October 27, 2006 –  Analytical Services, Inc. (ASI) today announced the company has been selected as the 2006 Alabama Technology Company of the Year.  Selected by the Alabama Information Technology Association (AITA), ASI was recognized at the AITA 3rd Annual Leadership in Technology Awards program held October 26, 2006 in Birmingham, Alabama. 

The annual AITA Leadership in Technology Awards serves as the opportunity to highlight the best and brightest in information technology (IT) statewide.  ASI was one of five companies across the state nominated in the large business category for outstanding IT achievements and successes.  Selection was based on demonstrated technology services, exceptional customer support, industry achievements, corporate financial strength and overall business success.   

Record customer demand for ASI services such as information assurance and security to high-level programming and integration to customized software development has been instrumental to ASI’s growth within the Federal IT marketplace.   Last year, sales performance within ASI’s IT business area grew over 60 percent due to added growth at both Huntsville and Montgomery locations and across the U.S.  In addition to increased sales to both the Army and the Defense Information Systems Agency, ASI secured added growth with new customers from the Air Force, Navy, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Counterintelligence Field Activity (CIFA), and the Joint Integration Operations Center (JOIC).
